Is any of this real?
No — and that's the whole joke. Alien & Cryptid Scanner is a novelty app. Every species, classification, case number, and "analyst note" is fictional and generated for entertainment. We are not affiliated with any government agency.
How do I share or save my certificate?
On any Encounter Certificate, tap Share to send the 1080×1920 image to Stories, Reels, Messages, or anywhere else — or Save to write it to your Photos.
What do I get with Pro?
Unlimited encounters (no daily cap), watermark-free exports, the multi-page PDF dossier, and the Senior Operative clearance badge. It's a single one-time Pro Unlock for $1.99 — no subscription, yours forever.
Is there a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time purchase ($1.99) — nothing auto-renews and there's nothing to cancel. If you ever need a refund, request it through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I restore a purchase on a new device?
Tap Restore Purchases in the app (Paywall or Profile). It uses your Apple ID — no separate account needed.
Are my photos uploaded or kept?
Your photos are not stored on our servers — they're analyzed in memory. A copy is saved on your device as part of your Field Log; delete the sighting or the app to remove it. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Do I need to grant location?
No. Location is optional — it just adds coordinates to your certificate for the "case file" look. Decline it and the certificate simply omits coordinates. We never track or store your location history.
