What is Stellar Melee?
A fast, tactical one-on-one space-duel game built around momentum, gravity, and readable physics. Classic mode is a pure duel; Stillness makes the world flow only while your ship moves; Gravity bends ships and shots; and Brink rewards dangerous close-range flying. There are 28 ships across four rival fleets and four ways to fight.
How do I play?
The left touch stick is dedicated to steering. Hold the on-screen R2 Thrust or L2 Brake trigger without releasing the stick. The right-hand buttons fire your primary and secondary weapons, trigger your special, raise your shield, and boost. A short interactive tour runs the first time you play, and the full input reference lives in Settings → Controllers.
What are the controller and keyboard controls?
Xbox and PlayStation controllers use the left stick to steer, the right stick for a spring-return tactical camera look, R2 to thrust, and L2 to brake. A/Cross fires, B/Circle uses ALT, X/Square activates the special weapon, Y/Triangle toggles the shield, and Menu returns to the main menu. On Mac and hardware-keyboard iPad, use the arrow keys to steer, Return for thrust, Right Shift for primary fire, and Right Control for secondary fire; WASD, Space, F, and G remain available as aliases.
Is Stellar Melee free? Are there subscriptions?
Your first three battles are free. After that, a single one-time Full Game unlock opens unlimited play. There are also optional ship and cosmetic packs. There are no ads, no subscriptions, and no consumables — and the paid ships are balanced side-grades, never "pay-to-win."
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open the unlock screen (it appears from the ship-select / Hangar screens) and tap Restore Purchases. Your purchases are tied to your Apple Account.
Where is my data stored?
On your device. Your match record, stats, and settings stay on your phone. If you choose Sign in with Apple, your pilot record can sync across your own devices through Apple's iCloud (you can turn this off). There are no analytics, no ads, and no third-party trackers, and we never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my account and data?
- Delete account: Settings → Apple Account → Delete Account. This removes your stored identity from the device and from iCloud.
- Reset your stats: on the Leaderboard screen, use Reset All Stats.
- Delete everything: removing the app deletes all on-device game data.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. Xbox, PlayStation, and compatible MFi controllers work on supported Apple devices; Mac also supports the classic keyboard layout. Game Center leaderboards and achievements are available everywhere (optional).
Accessibility
Stellar Melee honors Reduce Motion, includes a colorblind-safe palette, has adjustable haptics and audio, and supports Dynamic Type. You'll find these in Settings.
